We’re looking for a high-energy, creative, and driven individual responsible for developing and executing monetization strategies across advertising, sponsorship, and bespoke marketing partnerships for The Health Insider.

What You’ll Do

As our Strategic Accounts & Revenue Manager, you’ll have a proven track record in selling digital media properties in Canada – advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, etc.  You’ll be responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing revenue-generating sponsorship and advertising opportunities across our digital platforms. You’ll work closely with editorial and leadership to align content with monetization strategies while pursuing high-value partnerships.

This is a remote, full-time position for someone who’s excited to help shape the future of a fledgling media company with big ambitions—and who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make an impact. You’ll help hone our go-to-market strategy and then hire and manage a team to do the same.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle for sponsorship, advertising, and bespoke campaigns with full team support.
  • Refine media kits, pricing models, and strategic partnership proposals that align foals with The Health Insider’s content, audience and mission.
  • Identify and reach out to prospective sponsors (clinics, hospitals, wellness brands, pharma companies, healthcare tech, etc.).
  • Collaborate with editorial to plan overall and themed content that align with sponsor interests (e.g., fertility, longevity, diabetes, sleep, gut health, medical tourism, women’s health, mental health).
  • Identify and help develop new commissionable product categories.
  • Attend virtual or in-person industry events to expand the THI brand and network.
  • Track performance metrics, deliver regular reporting on performance and pipeline opportunities and iterate on offerings based on results and feedback.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in digital media sales, advertising partnerships, or brand sponsorships (experience in health/wellness is a plus).
  • Proven success and ability to pitch, close, and manage client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of digital ad formats, sponsorship models, branded content, and performance metrics 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit—you’re excited by the opportunity to help grow a media brand from the ground up 
  • Strong understanding of content marketing and health-related industries in Canada.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  You can sell the story behind the story.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, (e.g. Zoho, Salesforce)
  • Strong network of Canadian health clients and media is also a plus.

Nice to Have 

  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or pharmaceutical advertising or media 
  • Previous work with early-stage startups or media brands 
  • Insight and expertise in evolving digital ad trends: native advertising, newsletters, podcasts, video, and influencer partnerships
