Hey there! Doctor Kleinberg here with an observation about people who tell me that they’re going to start exercising and even join a gym or fitness center, but never end up going. The idea is put time before the actual action.

Think about when you’re going to exercise. Specifically, look at your calendar for the week and designate the times during the week when you’re actually going to commit to doing your fitness routine. If you don’t do that and you join the gym first, likely that it’s not going to work.

Everything that we do, more or less, through the week has some kind of routine or schedule. And when you’re adding in a new habit, a new activity, you have to make sure that you make the time for it. Create the time, create the space. Once you do that, then you can go to the gym and know that that is the time that you go and do your exercise workouts.

So, you want to be successful at any fitness routine or really anything that you’re trying to create new space for, make the time for it first. You will succeed. Have a great day!
